Jan 2022 - May 2022
For his Board Game Design final project, Josh created Interacity: a tile placement cooperative game in which players assume unique roles within an ever-changing city scape. The game was designed to combine elements of card-specific rules while consistently incorporating tile adjacency.
The project was never publicly released, but Josh was asked to give a talk about the social and cultural influences. Since Interacity is thematically portraying how a city is built and operated, what implications does that have? Above is a talk given by Josh at the Frontiers in Playful Learning conference, where he explores the idea of Contrastive Learning, how games influence the world, and how the world influences games.
