Role

Josh collaborated on this project with Devin Quinn, a peer of his while he they were both studying at the University of Connecticut. Devin came up with the concept for the game and brought it to Josh, who was incredibly excited about it. Together they sprung into action, building prototypes and ideas as quickly as they could. Rubicon was released in late 2020, with a small reception. The game was featured at several local events, namely the RPI GameFest and the Connecticut Festival of Indie Games. Rubicon has also been showcased at New York University and Wonderville.

Rubicon would go on to receive a small following shortly after its release, with many local university community members playing the game weekly. Rubicon had a brief feature at a small arcade in Kentucky, where it was one of the many indie-games to be featured as part of a rotating cabinet set. The game remains under consideration for several other rotating indie game cabinets across the country.
